What's the best place to create a blog?

I sometimes fancy myself a writer and occasionally am moved enough to overcome my debilitating procrastination and bang out something self-indulgent. Even rarer, I am inclined to delude myself into believing others may actually want to read my ramblings. was so moved today. And instead of douching up Facebook anymore than it already is with a 7-page essay on the loss of a friend, I thought I'd put it on a blog. Seems a more appropriate format. Anyhoo, suggestions?

WordPress or host it yourself in AWS S3 if you want more hands on for the look, feel, and web dev aspects

Host Gator hatchling plan. Log into CPanel and then "load" a CMS (content management service) I like wordpress! Then you can have your own domain and log in through the /wp-admin portal through wordpress. There are tons of tutorialson youtube that will walk you through the whole thing.
