re: What’s the appropriate way to deal with loud talking at a movie theater

I don't go to the theater much, but it's one of those things I spend the extra $10 per seat and go to to the restaurant theaters. Less of that nonsense. Most of them you can order a pitcher of beer so at best you'll get a little tipsy and at worst you have something to dump on the heads of people talking.
In all honesty I haven't had to deal with trashy people in movie theaters since I moved out of Louisiana.

I can confirm that Houston has trashy theater goers at both the Alamo and Studio Movie Grill.

I think I've just been lucky to be honest. I also live in the burbs, less hoodrat shenanigans.

I was talking about Katy in particular, unfortunately.

Shut your traps and stop kicking the seats! We're trying to watch the movie! And if I have to tell you again, we're gonna take it outside and I'm gonna show you what it's like! You understand me? Now, shut your mouths or I'll shut 'em for ya, and if you think I'm kidding, just try me. Try me. Because I would love it!
That seems a little underwhelming.
Shouldn’t we also raise the shotgun from under the trench coat just to authenticate our displeasure?

How can your wife whisper when she is blowing you?

I don’t go to the movies for this reason. Top Gun was the only time in the past 10 years I’ve gone to the theaters.
And nothing but fellow fans and good vibes in that movie

Go to the theater on your side of town instead of the one in the hood

I’ve asked nicely without bringing attention and that’s always worked.
I had a group of teenage bouts one time and I slid to the seat next to them and asked if they would mind keeping it down. Then smiled and said, if y’all don’t, I won’t be getting any tonight. They all laughed and said yes sir, we got you!

There will be a brief scream then total silence. Problem solved.
