Haverty's most recently I guess. But I don't get all crazy when dealing with businesses.

Wife and I ordered a new dining room table, including delivery for $100. The delivery people work for Haverty's, not some generic delivery business. And all delivery dates required me to take time off work to meet them at the house.

Delivery Date #1
Crew showed up and started pulling all the parts off the truck. They discovered they were missing the hardware to assemble the base. So they packed up and rescheduled.

Delivery Date #2
Guy shows up by himself to assemble with missing parts from first date. Starts to work. Soon realizes that the mounting brackets underneath one side of the table top is missing. Had to order a whole new table top. Rescheduled.

Delivery Date #3
Crew shows up and finally puts the new table together after almost 3 weeks after first delivery attempt.

I asked their customer service dept for the delivery charge to be refunded, and they had no problem at all doing that for me.

HA. The first thing I thought of when I saw the thread title was Goddamn that Dean McCrary Audi in Mobile pissed me off a few years ago. Is it the same one you're dealing with?

Delta airlines destroyed my bag containing all of my scuba equipment. They broke several smaller items. I placed a claim at the airport....no reply. I called the number....no reply. I sent emails....no reply. Called the airport again....no reply. Sent certified letter....no reply.

With the bag replacement, the gear I had to replace, and the rental gear I had to use, I was out about $700. Too much to let go. So I sued Delta is small claims court. I figured they would get the message that this was a small claim and that finally I would speak to someone reasonable.

Those sumbiches removed me to Federal Court and tried to " make a Federal Case" out of it. Well, now I was pissed.....I spent days becoming subject matter expert on the laws they were citing as authority for removal and every single case that came down on the issue. My Motion to Remand was the type of thing you get Pulitzer prize for writing.

I am sure the silk-stocking defense firm they hired in Nola charged around $500 per hour. I flooded their office with so much discovery and so many motions, that I felt the need to donate to Green Peace's Deforestation Cause.

I was remanded back to State Court and Delta was sanctioned for improper removal. They continued to huff and puff in State Court and after the first status conference ...when the judge saw what this was all about, he practically threw Delta out of chambers and dared them to go to trial.

Delta called me and offered me $ 5K. I mean....WTF??? I estimate they spent $10K + on defense counsel, got hit with $ 2K in sanctions, and out of the blue offered me $ 5K.

$ 17,0000 on what should have been an apology and a quick check for $ 700.00.

Now you know why I no longer fly DELTA.

Got damn

UPS. Stole a bunch of money from me and totally destroyed a package and all contents. Blamed it on me for "improper packaging". Still ship a lot of stuff but haven't used them since. They ended up losing a lot more money than if they would have just corrected the situation.

I'll admit to having fantasized about dropping a cinderblock off the MS river bridge directly onto that pos "business"

Hollingsworth Richards Mazda customer service sucks. Mofos like them are the reason people hate dealing with car dealerships.

Probably a three way tie with Window world, sleep number bed (more so FedEx) and American Airlines. My rant on window world still make my friend laugh his arse off. He said I was damn near yelling in tongues at them.

H&P.They made a series of laptops that were pure garbage for a few years and they refused to acknowledge it or even troubleshoot the problem. It was a faulty USB problem that was easily diagnosed with basic troubleshooting.

Delta ran over my clubs with the a luggage cart on the tarmac. How do I know this? Ever steel shaft was broken or bent.

Luckily I was Diamond and had 150 segments that year, so they sent me a check for the full value of the clubs, bag, and everything else in the bag after a 30 minute conversation with the diamond line customer service rep.

Status has its perks when traveling. The average traveler would never ever see any recourse for that screw up..

This is just marvelous. I hope one day, when I am screwed over by a company, I will attack them with similar ferocity and resilience.

Kudos man, kudos.

ame thing happened to me! I was out of town for 3 weeks, and I came home to a $200 gas bill. It had never been over $40. Conclusion there was nothing they could do. Meter said what the meter said

It's surely a racket with Atmos. I had them come out and read the meter again. No luck, meter doesn't lie. I paid it in the end, but only after chewing out the supervisor which really did make me feel better. At one point she even said sometimes gas usage goes UP when a person isn't home. Oh boy.

I'm surprised I'm not on a banned list at the Walgreens Pharmacy at Government and Acadian. The sheer level of incompetence at that place has sent me over the edge more than once.
