I'm not talking being able to browse porn on your phone although i'm sure that's going to be the first response.

what i mean is things that even 20 years ago you would never believe could be possible.

my list includes:

- talking out loud and having something understand you ('set a reminder in 30 minutes to tell the kids to start their homework', 'i need toliet paper', 'lock my doors and turn off my lights', etc.)

- 3d printing..LOL no such thing as being able to print gun receivers to get around federal weapons bans. its ink and paper right?

- gps and real time traffic, cops, potholes than just appeared in the road... no way a little voice in my pocket is warning me to stay off the interstate as i'm walking to my car so i can choose to go have a beer instead.

those are among the things for me that 20-25 years ago i would have said would be impossible.

That we'd be at war for 16 of those years and counting.

The capabilities of phones these days is really just mind boggling.

I couldn't imagine having a device with that kind of capability when I was a young kid riding my bike through the neighborhood back in the day. I'm not sure I'd have been able to comprehend everything you could do with a smart phone back then.

I still don't really understand how television or the internet actually 'work' if I'm being honest.

I can't now. My wife got an Apple Watch for me for Christmas. That was like giving the TV remote to a puppy.

i'm not an apple fan but got my wife an apple watch and she has gone nuts with it. she answers texts and phone calls while making dinner and never has to pick up her phone. she loves the 'fitness goals' stuff too. getting obsessed with that.
