Obviously, I haven't un-alived anyone? I've confessed Christ as the son of God and been baptized for the forgiveness of my sins. I haven't cheated on my wife? I haven't forsaken my children. What should I expect? I mean, I really have no idea.

I am generally curious. What is everyone's thoughts?

that's all that matters although I might word it differently. One must place his faith in Christ. if one does that, his sin is replaced with his faith in Christ. Christ made the sacrifice. we use our faith to make his sacrifice our sacrifice

none of that matters. nobody is good enough. only by faith can one be saved.

You just have to accept Jesus right before you die.

Why you mention that?

Going forward, try to focus on reading and understanding the bible that you profess to believe in.

And to the relief of half the posters on here, it doesn't matter what sins you commit here on earth, as long as you sincerely ask God for forgiveness you still get to go to heaven.

So even though you might now get the death penalty in Alabama for raping children, you can still get to heaven by professing your sins and asking for forgiveness.

Isn't that a great lesson in morality?

It is the truth. Nothing else matters but faith in Christ.

You have to donate money to your church or you’re going to hell.

Faith is the answer, believe and you will receive. Heaven is real and the moment someone passes away your Spirit leaves your body and is taken up to be judged by the All-Mighty Creator God. Amen

Romans 10:9-10

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.

The Bible clearly states repentance of sin is what is necessary for salvation Repentance isn’t the same as “confession” . Repentance means agreeing with God on sin and turning 180 degrees away from it. Confession is just admitting you did something wrong, not really planning to turn from it in the future. Then accepting God’s free gift of redemption though his son’s sacrifice on the cross as the payment for our sins.
Then living by faith and walking in the spirit daily as thanksgiving for the work he has done.
We can do nothing in and of ourself to earn salvation. People who try to work themselves to heaven are the ones who come across as pompous and self righteous. When you truly understand what this is all about it humbles your spirit knowing but by the grace of God we are destined for eternal separation from him.
We all still sin but true believers are convicted by the spirit of God, confess, and go on with life. The penalty has already been paid. This is part of the spiritual maturity process. We will be a work in progress until we meet him.
Still baffles me that people will not accept a FREE gift to insure their eternity. They simply don’t understand or want to live their own way for this short life, sacrificing their eternity.
