Can't imagine how bad the employees will be in opelousas FF places
The Chick fila there will be an interesting experiment. Can they overcome the local talent?

QC has gone to hell ever since they sold out, inconsistent as hell
It’s not what it used to be, but I would drive past a Wendy’s, McDonald’s, BK, or Jack in the box to have that jalapeño cheeseburger that Whataburger has. What’s burger employees don’t seem to be as good as CFA though. That’s a problem.
Their biggest barrier to dominance in their market though is the lack of locations. But I do agree that Chick Fil A, In N Out, and Raising Cane’s seem to both watch QC a bit closer.
Cane’s doesn’t do Breakfast and CFA isn’t open on Sunday - that’s their limitations that are not shared with Whatsburger. Surprised Whataburger doesn’t have a bigger footprint.

Whataburger to open location in Opelousas
Why there and NONE in Southeast Louisiana????
Does Whataburger hate us????
I think the closest ones to New Orleans and the Northshore are in BR and Gulfport.
What the hell, Whataburger?!?!?!?!?!?!

CFA and Cane’s are all over south Louisiana already. They have very good service by fast food standards. I think it’s a management thing.

They've been pretty meh since they were sold. Not the Whataburger it used to be, which was good.
yeah. i still like them, and i usually eat there at least once when i'm back in texas, but it definitely isnt as good as it was before. for one thing, the fries are literally NEVER fresh anymore. it seems that somehow i might accidentally find myself there at the same time that the fries were fresh, but i swear like my last six visits or so, the fries have clearly been sitting out for awhile.

Maybe related to distribution gaps? They probably distribute out of Houston and Atlanta.

Covington seems like a no-brainer for a WB if they are wanting to spread into SE LA.

Mama’s fried chicken sandwich incoming

Good food, but slower than a Popeyes drive thru which is a true feat. Last time I attempted to eat there I sat in line for 20 minutes and never made it any closer than 5 car lengths from the intercom.

Mama's Fried Chicken is the only reason for Opelousas to continue to exist, if we're being honest here.

That’s what Opelousas needs a burger joint that stays open to 2:00 am. All you doing is inviting the hood rats to converge in that parking lot and you know what happens when that occurs?
Bang bang

if anyone can they can. IDK why other FF places don't model themselves after what they do

That’s definitely a concern. But they make it work in New Orleans, Houston, and Baton Rouge.
This is right behind the Billy’s I think. Right off the interstate. Wonder if they will add big rig parking.

I agree whataburger isn’t quite what it used to be but you baws acting like it’s Burger King are nuts. Patty melt is top tier. Wish they still had the A1 thick n hearty. HBCBs are super good too
