Wife's Highlander has WeatherTech, 100% worth the price because people ride in it in nasty weather.
In my truck and work car, I just use the Sam's $20 mats as I'm the only one getting in it most of the time and can keep my feet on the mats
In my old car/toy, I have Dojamats, although they're more decorative than functional really
ETA - You can sometimes get cheap floormats at a place like Ross or TJMaxx, I learned this after getting drug through one at Christmas

Been using cardboard I get from behind the local grocery store. It bends and can be shaped and cut to any size. Can't beat the price!

I had some weather techs. They were fine but frankly the ones from chevy/gmc were virtually identical and worked just as well.
I did not care for the hard plastic material of WT's.

American-made, in America.
I'll pay a bit more, plus really excellent quality.
I'll second that.

How did your Tahoe hold up? In the market for a large SUV and love the exterior look of the Tahoe/Yukon. I like the Sequoia but they’re too expensive and the Expedition’s exterior is just bland to me.

Ole Miss mat. Thoroughly rub mud boots on that bastard every time it rains.

It was a '97, so this probably won't answer your question about current model reliability.
From the beginning it had a laundry list of things that failed. Transmission, AC compressor, intake manifold leak. wiper circuit board 2x, rear window defog, power seat rock, alternator, EVO steering sensor. There is probably more that I can't remember. All covered under warranty. The dealer and district GM rep and I started talks about a buyback, but strangely enough, everything except the wiper board never failed again after the first fix. The wiper circuit board failed the second time out of warranty and the Parts Manager gave it to me no charge as it was a common failure.
As far as the ride, it drove very nice and with the rear seats folded down, it had a buttload of open space. If I still had kids in the house, I might consider another one.

The generic VW weather tech mat that was in the car when I bought it. It was cold and rainy the day I got it. Cloth mats never made it out the plastic.

Got exact contour or whatever they're called a few months ago in my yukon. Nice

I have these in both of my Toyota Highlanders. Best I’ve ever owned and yes I’ve had Weathertech.

Weather tech. I just shopped the normal WT laser measured for one of our SUV’s and the front and middle row set is $213.

Two cars gonna cost me $700.
Try Husky, they are as good as Weather Tec.

Factory
Many of these "factory" mats are made by WeatherTech. David MacNeil didn't become a billionaire by selling floor mats aftermarket only. OEM manufacturing is where the $ is,
