Cheating is the death penalty; there's no coming back......EVER!

sounds to me, the dad took one for the team. yeah, he's a dirtbag and is causing his son and wife to hurt, but he saved his son from guaranteed heartache and financial pain. The little ho-bag was going to cheat eventually. At least now he doesn't have to endure a divorce or child custody issues.
Good job dad.
Good job dad.

This was the plot to the movie "Damage". Jeremy Irons was slamming his son's girlfriend/wife played by Juliette Binoche. Good movie.

a scumbag that went to my hs did this, his son and his wife(son's wife,) were living with him, son comes home for lunch unexpectedly one day and the old man is railing the dil, son ends up kicking the wife to the curb and leaving the house for awhile, but he and his dad eventually, apparently, patched things up, the old man died from cancer a few years ago, had never paid any taxes, left with a mountain of debt, and on his death bed made the remark to a friend of mine, "well, I cheated them all, didn't I?"

Divorce is never the answer. They need to stay together for the kids.
For starters, one positive way to look at this is at the very least the fiancé is keeping it in the family.
Curious if she ever let him slipped when having relations with her boyfriend ... "you frick like your father ..."

keeping it in the family.
Billy Joe and Emma Sue are a redneck couple, and one day they decide to get hitched. So, both clans come out and do the hillbilly wedding thing--shotguns, whiskey, the whole deal.
On the wedding night, Billy Joe takes Emma Sue out to his father's hunting cabin for their honeymoon. As he's carrying her over the threshold, Emma Sue leans over and whispers in his ear, "Billy Joe, I'm a little nervous. You know, I ain't never been with a man before." Billy Joe's eyes bug out, and he drops Emma Sue right on her arse. He shoots out the door and runs all the way back to his family's house.
After he opens the door, exhausted with the effort, his father says to him, "Son, shouldn't you and Emma Sue be makin' the marriage official right about now?" Billy Joe replies, "I'm sorry, Paw, but I can't marry that girl." "Well, why not?" says his dad. "She said she ain't never been with a man afore." At this, Billy Joe's father nods his head gravely and pats his son on the shoulder, saying "Son, you done the right thing. If that girl ain't good enough for her family, she ain't good enough for ours!"

Interestingly enough there was a follow up post and Dad wasn't at Thanksgiving. Also, interestingly enough the follow up post mentioned the son going to Vegas.
They must read the OT.
