You are as wrong as wrong gets. Your common sense approach is no where near legal reality. The mother has to sign off on abortion, adoption etc. Nothing can be done without mother's full consent and they make damn sure make sure she's not being coerced into a decision.

Love her and let her know while you are disappointed in her actions, you do not hate her. Then kick that punk kids arse. Maybe twice. Then sit her down and this....

Your job got harder, but good parents can handle that. Make her become an adult and hold her responsible for her actions. Abortion, which personally I don't agree with unless it's an extreme situation, is a reset button. You don't get those in many areas of life. What are you teaching her if you advocate it in this situation? When you get yourself in a bind, you can just make it go away? If you handle it correctly, this could absolutely effect her in a positive way.

Because I'd be forcing my daughter to take responsibility? I'd be letting her stay in my house. Outside of that, she's on her own. If the tool bag of a father wasn't doing anything to help financially, you can bet your arse he's going to have legal issues. I would help with that.

Same thing goes for minors. If someone under the age of 16 wants to have an abortion, her parents have to sign off on it.

raise the kid or put it up for adoption.
why would you even think about abortion at that point.
what kind of POS would tell a woman that wants to keep a child that she should abort? jeez.

I'm not going to give up my Saturday so my daughter could have some "me time" because she's tired.
Which leads to the bigger picture...She couldn't get the attention at home, so she found it somewhere else

She got pregnant. It's her responsibility to take care of her child. Not mine.

You Ole Miss fans are assholes.

For making someone take responsibility of their mistakes?

I would try every possible method of talking her into the abortion. If it doesn't work, let her do her thing.

You can support your daughter and help her and love your grandchild while still making her accept her responsibility as a new parent.

I realize you are kidless, but you have no idea how precious alone time can be with your SO when you have them.

Having said that, who knows which path is "better". The kid would be loved and provided for, but the daughter's life and goals are pretty much done at age 15.
