Being crucified.
I've read that after so long, your back begins to break with each breath.
Depends on how the crucifixion was done. There were variations. But recent study shows the person would go into shock and probably not survive nearly as long as once thought.
Burning is the obvious but the English would hang draw and quarter convicts, which is horrific.
Under King Henry VIII, convicted poisoners were deep fried alive in oil. Think about that one next time you fry fish.

I used to think hands down fire, but I was trying to see how many times I could swim from one end of my pool and back the other day while under water, and that shite sucked
Ok, now light a match and hold your finger over it for five seconds. that sucks way worse.

ALS
Been watching a guy face this. I'd rather be doused with gasoline and set on fire.

Just for future reference and your safety, that is very dangerous. Most free divers practice their breath holding techniques for hours outside of the pool before they attempt anything in the water and they all recommend this for amateurs.
I would doubt the poster has the will to fight the diaphragm contractions to get to that point.
Most people can do 3 or 4. Pro freedivers can do a hundred or more. I trained a long time and can break 40 more often than not.
That equates to 2 minutes without breathing. Not a pleasant feeling at ALL.

The worst way to die would be violent murder by the people you love or trust the most, such as your children.

A stroke that doesn't kill me immediately would be the absolute worst way to die....no question.
