God it’s a light hearted thread about what people will wear to a 2010s costume party and you snowflakes always have SJWs on your minds.

It’s kind of a forgettable decade culturally. Nothing really defines it other than the sensitive snowflake movement.
No musical identity
No artistic identity
No film identity
The only identity it has is Obama/Hillary/Trump

Normal humans know statists are backward creatures that like self imposed slavery that they should share (impose) with/on everyone...they are sadists and masochists that confuse immorality with Justice...
It always starts with heavily funded partisan movements about making things "fair" until they control the state e.g. brownshirts thought Jews owned too much stuff...revolutionaries did it to cuba...Khmer rouge did it to Cambodia...and on and on...
We see those budding groups today, funded to cause strife and division...that's why it stands out to Americans as malign portents...

It’ll probably be remembered for this word.

That's the 00s
2000's started off the opposite with baggy cargo jeans and jolts. The skinny jeans hit in the late 2000's and continued through the 2010s constantly.
If I were to guess at what a 2000's party would look like, it would be mostly the sagging jincos thug look, the pop punk long cargo shorts with an ironic tie and spiky arm bands, or the bedazzled jeans/affliction tees for dudes; and the low rise daisy dukes, tennis skirts, cloth booty shorts with words on them, weird tiny half jackets, or those strange like velour track suit things for women, etc.
The problem with stereotyping the 2000s is that it is really two completely different decades in one with the dividing line being somewhere around 2005. The music, styles, comedy, tv shows, etc changed completely around that time. Pop Punk, boy bands, and the wave of female pop stars died out and was replaced by bro rock (the forerunner to bro country), hip hop, lady gaga, and Katy Parry, and the styles for men and women shifted with the music. The college gross-out comedies like American Pie and Van Wilder were replaced by the semi-serious stoner comedies like Superbad and Forgetting Sarah Marshall. Tv's transitioned rapidly from big tube to flat screen and cell phones went from semi-common among college age and maybe some high school seniors to ubiquitous for even children. Broadband and wifi came and revolutionized how people used the internet. The viral video was born as youtube and ebaums world exploded in popularity with the rise of social media, starting with Myspace and ending with face book's meteoric rise at the end of the 2000's. The rise of the indie folk hipster wave that completely removed rock music from the mainstream. 2007 saw the explosion in auto-tune with T-Pain and Ke$ha. Even cars changed after 2005 with the return of muscle cars like the challenger, mustang, and camaro.
As for hair styles for dudes, it would definitely include a lot of frosted tips and that skunk look where the top of the head is bleached blonde, but the rest is left the natural color for the first half of the decade, and long sheep dog hair with sideburns, but otherwise clean shaven for the second half.
