5.65 starting, 6.36 when I quit three years later. Best job of my life. Worked for Walmart in the late 90’s and we worked as many hours as we could stand.
Had fun doing wheelies with the forklift behind the store at night and lots of stupid shite that would really get us in trouble today. Night manager was always this old crusty woman and she didn’t give a rats arse unless a customer complained.
But boy we got our arse tore up when we spray painted a display in the middle of the store in the middle of the day. Three of us each with rattle cans at the same time. Came so close to getting axed.

At 14-17 I was a field director for for the 9-10 year old league I made $11 a game. I did the 15-18 year old league and made $18 a game. When baseball season was in I made some damn good money.
One of the coaches gave me a job working at a machine shop, making $7.75 an hour. I worked that till I was 18. Then started in a fab yard, ended up making like 18 an hour.

First job I had paid $2.65. in 1978.
When we got bumped to $3 an hour I thought I was big time.

Did anyone work at Blue Bayou when they withheld a portion of your wages and you could only collect the full amount if you stayed all summer?

$2.00/ hr. at Fun Fair Park. Minimum wage was $2.10. This was 6 days a week, 12 hours per day, with no OT.
$144 per week was no joke for a kid in the mid-late '70's
