Louisiana folks? Official numbers?
In Katy so we only talk about our area, as you expect. Only things ive seen, a report of 11” in New Orleans. And a Facebook post of a family member (Acadia Parrish) shoveling a snowdrift in front of their home. It was at least 2 feet! But it was a large drift.

Asking another male about inches will get you a wide array of answers and falsehoods.

I just read the highest total recorded was 10.5 inches in Rayne, La. Florida panhandle broke 130 year records.

ChatGPT says it’s damn near impossible to accurately measure snow when it’s dry and powdery and gets blown around a lot like yesterday because it doesn’t settle in place like wet snow does. You have to measure in the low places, in the high places, and in the flat places then average them out. My average came to 7” and had many locations of 7”-8”. Every estimate that I’ve found estimates that 10” of snow fell onto my area though.

It's okay, slugger. I'm sure she'll like what you have. 8" at my house though.
I hear it's 7 degrees in Baton Rouge, 5 degrees in Zachary, and as low as 3 degrees in New Roads. South Louisiana is going to have a miserable day.

9” is where you start counting right?

around 7" in Covington, I saw MSY had 8" but I've seen other reports around the south shore of some areas got up to 1'

That’s not how you measure snow.

Official collection at MSY was 8
We measures in a wind protected area on a hard surfaec of our fire pit and had right under 6 in Mandeville

Legit 8-10” in St. George. And yes, the jokes write themselves.
