What was your favorite comic book as a kid?

I only ever read batman graphic novels as a kid. batman was kinda of the end-all-be-all (is that how you write that?) of comics for me, especially once they got grittier and less campy.

These were the first ones that I ever got when I was a kid. So these.

I had a Ghostrider #1, but in 3rd grade I brought it to school to show a friend who I never saw away from school..and my old 65+ bitch reading teacher took it from me (before class started) tore it up and threw it away.

House of Mystery was pretty good. The plot twists were always pretty cool.

Legion of Superheroes; Brainiac

Aquaman

World War II

I wish I had been into Marvel comics as much as I was into DC. Back in the day my favorites were:
Superman
Batman
Flash
Green Lantern
Justice League of America
Atom
Hawkman
Aquaman

I dabbled into Fantastic Four and some Spiderman, but for the most part didn't do Marvel titles. All to my loss, now as I look back. I do think the stores I frequented as a kid were mostly DC outlets, so maybe that is a reason why.

As a very young kid I was into the Superman titles.

Especially the Superman family books:

Superboy
Adventure Comics (Legion of Super-Heroes)
Jimmy Olsen
Lois Lane

Then I moved on to the original Teen Titans and the Justice League of America.

Calvin and Hobbs.

I actually have this issue in my car right now. It's the full size magazine, not the comic size. I have the rest of the original run also.
