Before I bought this car, I always thought the Japanese cars were cheap a$$ shite. This car changed my mind entirely about Toyota. I’ve sworn by Toyota ever since and all I’ve ever bought has been Toyota products. My entire immediate family has Toyota/Lexus vehicles today
My grandfather fought in the pacific against the Japanese. He had a lot of respect for them post-WW2. He always had Hondas, Toyotas, and Subarus. That entire side of my family are mechanics, and my grandfather said if it's a vehicle he worked on the least it must be the best. I drive a Tacoma now and bought my wife a Lexus when we got married.

1996 Chevrolet 1500 4x4 Cheyenne with the Silverado appearance package. Had a 350 vortec with a manual 5 speed. Locking rear diff. Regular cab. Straight pipes. Gal getter for sure. Ran like a spotted ape. Had a few issues with it around 150k miles and got rid of it. Young and didn’t know what had. Left a lot of peter tracks in that thing.??

I miss all of them except for one.
It was a chrysler cirrus. Mitsubishi drive train with chrysler electronics...the worst of each company. It would randomly die and refuse to start until it cooled off and then wouldn't do it again for weeks. Threw zero codes. It would run fine for multiple mechanics.
I bought a cable and software to connect a laptop and live view everything in real time. Finally figured out a sensor would get stuck at 90% occasionally and stay there until it cooled off. The obd would not record the event for whatever reason.
The one I would love to have back is a mitsubishi starion. Short wheel base manual rear wheel drive with an intercooled turbo. It was so much fun to drive.
Nice examples are selling in the damn 20-30k range now.

2018 single cab F250 STX gas burner.
It was such a badass perfect truck. I sold it because family and room and such. I should have sucked it up for a year and paid it off and kept it. Probably was the best truck I'll ever own in my life.

I had the opposite. My uncle gave me a die in a fire look when I showed up in a mitsubishi and 18 yesr old me didn't understand his displeasure until after he passed. I found out he was a turret gunner and he had literally been in war with mitsu planes.

I had a ‘91 Eddie Bauer (brick nose) that was exactly like this. Having trouble posting a picture finding an image I can post, but it was a great vehicle.
ETA: A bit random/run of the mill, but my 2015 VW Passat diesel was a beast that I would love to have back in the driveway.
