Your husband is a tatterdemalion. These are not made overnight. He has had sloppy dress habits since you have known him. You married him knowing this. This means you have given an unspoken permission to him to wear whatever he wants.

That was kind and loving on your part.

4 is o.k. You don't really have to worry until about 6-7 mark.

A good wife would have had that shirt clean and stain free, or replaced, before this situation arose.
Poor planning and prep on her part. Poor domestic skillset. She might be a cull.

Well, Stella, as the wife it’s your job to ensure that your husbands clothes don’t have stains. Sounds like you did a piss poor job washing his clothes.

Or.....an adult male should be able to eat, walk outside, play, etc. without soiling his clothes. If by chance he can’t he should be big boy enough to remove the item. Not once did the post say the item was pre-soiled.

Beep, beep, beep - back the truck up, ma'am. "Men" often do this thing called "work", which oftentimes results in a little dirt under the fingernails and soiled clothing.

I know some of you gals think it is magic how some of the world's shite gets done, but I assure you it isn't.

A good wife also knows that some shirts and jeans are past their prime but still favored items.

If you dont like my less than perfect clothing then dont come over. Im retired and comfortable. The fish here don't give a damn what i wear.

But when i worked, my wife always set out my work clothes for me so my mornings would be as easy as possible. Worn clothes were taken out of that mix.

Well, as a woman I also work ...I know that might be a surprise. I’ve gotten lots of bodily fluids on me working as a nurse. But when I do I know how to take those clothes off and put new ones on....sometimes even shower at work if needed.

Exactly

My wife isn’t afraid to speak her mind about what I’m wearing or not.

I have a certain section of my closet for work clothes, dress clothes, hunting fishing clothes, lounging around the house clothes,

She organizes my closet so I know where and what the appropriate clothes are to wear.
