6th street is fun until you're over a certain age (around 30). West 6th is more upscale and cleaner if you don't want to be around as many college kids

Yeah I am 35 so probably not my scene. Glad to hear I am walkable to most places though.

You really are. I recommend South Congress Cafe for dinner. Continental Club for drinks and live music, James McMurty is having his release party tonight I think.

Take a cab to Pearl Brewery. I lived in an apartment downtown and was also part of the design team that worked on Pearl Brewery when I lived there. Lots of great restaurants and bars. The Granary has some great BBQ options and micro brews. La Gloria is authentic mexican street food. Or so they say, still really good. And for custom cocktails go upstairs at Blue Box and they will make you something special. Pretty much everything on the RiverWalk is a tourist ripoff. Enjoy!

If you're in San Antonio on Saturday, get lunch at the Mirador on St Mary's. (A quick walk from the streetcar stop.) They serve GREAT Mexican soups for lunch. Go for the Aztec. Send me a gift card later.

Go to La Margarita in SA. Its possible to walk from where you're at but I would just use Uber.

Bama your convention is sort of a pain in the arse. You all are everywhere and private parties taking over bars.
