Scottsdale and Tempe are both right next to Phx. Look at a map of the area. All next to each other. Old town Scottsdale is like 20 minutes from downtown Phx.

Closer you are to Mexico, the better the food is? Can you explain the science behind that? There's Mexicans pretty much everywhere.

Why about food? I mean, shouldn't the Mexican restaurants be good?

there actually is at least one mexican resturant that is exceptional...had a lot of famous folks as including a couple of presidents' photos taken while eating there on the wall....I'll see if I can remember where it was...

that is it!...nothing fancy at all, but if you are looking for a major league plate of good food, I would recommend it...

it was recommended to me by the concierge at the hotel when I asked him for some place that the locals like to eat...

Pretty lame so far. Of course it's 4 on a Monday, I just figured more people were drunks like me. At the Arrogant Butcher now. Happy hour but it's dead

It's downtown PHX....on a Monday afternoon.

I'm telling...old town Scottsdale is where you want to go

How is Arrogant Butcher btw? It's one of the FOX restaurants my husband and I haven't tried yet.

I really like that place. Me and my bro went over xmas break before a Suns game. The food was awesome and they have a great beer/drink selection.

Yeah I've been to other FOX Restaurant Concepts and have yet to be disappointed by them. True Food, The Henry, Blanco Tacos and Tequila, Zinburger, Culinary Dropout and Olive and Ivy are the ones I've been to. All great and highly recommend.
