I’ll be coming back from Houston tomorrow. What time do I need to pass through LC to avoid the gridlock?

I'd suggest taking 210. That I-10 bridge is about to fall down.

I’d try to be through by 3:30pm. Baton Rouge is the bigger problem.

I normally try to drive through right before the traffic backs up. That's your best time in my opinion.

Plants start gettting off work at 4:30, and they stagger every 30 min to 5:30. So you want be through by 4:30. Problem with that is you will be in baton rouge at peak traffic

Then youre set. Just make sure you take 210, unless you want to add 30 min to your commute.

I leave work in Sulphur at 6pm everyday and head east and i10 has been great. It’s 210 that backs up.

Update: that was a fricking nightmare once I got to LC. I drove through the whole Houston metro on a Friday and didn’t have any issues with traffic and once I got back to La it was a shite show. LC traffic was just bad getting on 210 and going over the bridge, after that it was flowing. From Jennings all the way to Lafayette it was stop and go then eventually it was just complete standstill. Man oh man La has some serious issues with infrastructure and traffic.

Thank you so much. I knew the OT family was worried.
