Studies indicate that people required different amount of sleep.

Since medical school and then 7 years of residency + 2 years fellowship... I usually only need 4-5 hours per night. So usually sleeping around 2am and waking around 6:30am.

If I sleep longer, I'm more tired.

I work nights I'm off at 4:30. Get home around 5.

From here I either go straight to sleep then wake up at noon. But normally I stay up till like 10 or 11 then wake up at 4:30. Leave for work at 530.

In bed at 12 midnight. Wake up at around 8AM and am in by 8:40 AM. Pretty nice for someone who isn't much of a morning person.

I work a 4 day week schedule so mine varies wildly. In bed at 10 on thursday and still sippin brews at 2 am on mondays. Generally I just sleep about 5 hours during work nights and 8-10 on non work nights.
