To be fair, a lot of the stuff in this thread used to be taught by parents. Money management, auto maintenance, cooking.
But that doesn't happen nearly as much now. And it starts early. End of last school year, a mom of one of my son's preschool classmates said she was so disappointed in his progress that year. She said she didn't think little Johnny could even recognize a single letter of the alphabet after a whole year of school. I was flabbergasted. My kid knew his letters by the time he turned 2, before he attended a single day of school. And it wasn't like I drilled him with flash cards- that was just from reading, singing, puzzles, etc. I wanted to ask WTF she did with him all day? Let me guess, he can name every character on 15 different kids shows?

Iogic. So many kids lack reasoning skills. 80% of them.
I blame the parents for helping too much with homework and not letting kids find their own way to the answers.

How to withstand being picked on (which presently you can go to jail for) and how to fight, win or loose (which presently has been replaced with the "thug life" mentality)...

I strongly believe there should be some sort of public safety awareness class.

Methodology. Then you can evaluate a study or a news report on a study.

Computer Programing. Will be highly important for the next generation and was important to mine but wasn't taught. It is highly important.

But it is. It is basic addition and subtraction. I'm shocked in the only person who put programming into the curriculum. Sorry, but managing a check book is easy if you're not a total idiot. Most smart people can't figure out how to write programs on their own. That is a much more worthwhile endeavor than investing in not letting retards spend their paycheck on the Powerball.

This is a pretty dumb post. Clearly people don't know how to manage money. Is that not evident in the society we live in? And honestly, who gives a shite about programming? Why does every person need to know how to program? Every person needs to know how to manage money.

Why you should avoid posting anything to any social media, and how it can ruin your life really, really fast.
