What Should I Have Done?

Was coming home tonight from the bars (I live in a multi-unit apartment complex), and as I was walking up the flight of stairs I come up on a girl who is throwing up on herself and being "helped" by two guys.
They seemed casual enough, let me go by, I asked if they needed helped and they said they were ok. Once I got to my apartment I started wondering if I should have done more. Idk if you can give a drunk person a general background test to see if they know someone or what but I ran back outside and they were no longer in the stairwell.
How would you have handled such a situation? Idk how I could have determined if she was in danger but at the same time Idk if if I should have just walked by without trying something.
Thoughts?

I would have made sure they were legitimately acquaintances of hers instead of leaving her in the hands of those who could possibly assault her.

It's probably fine. I don't know what things looked like, but odds are that it was just a couple of guys helping out a friend. I don't know what "helped" means.

Would've done exactly the same thing. I would only be worried if the two guys were completely sober, and she had been wanting to not be helped ie. Leave me alone, what are you doing, why are you guys helping me.

Next time just ask the guys if they "need any help with her" and wink at them. If they don't look repulsed at you and/or attempt to throw you down the stairs, then you know they're a problem for her.

You offered help, that's about all you can do. In college there was a group of guys and girls that all lived in my apartment that were all close. It'd be nothing at all coming home from the bars for one or two of the dudes to carry a girl back into her place and put her to bed and think nothing of it. And I mean, what could you have done?

Yea this is sorta what I was thinking. I've carried home tons of my drunken friends and would have had no way to prove to someone that I knew them.
Just sorta didn't know what to do.
