These types are absolutely cheating. Low self esteem will do it every time.

I don't argue with your reasonings/motivation list--I think its spot on.

Its like a sorrority serial killer in a monastery, though-- they would frick like rabbits if given the opportunity, its just that opportunities for such people are rare. They'd be just as high as your typical office slut, but lack willing partners.

Now, for those fat disgusting people who do frick still, overwhelmingly I would think that it would be in populations that had relationships that predated their disgustingness.

Yes, they have more of a leash to cheat, but the housewives I know don't face nearly the temptation that women in the workplace do.

That stat is hard to believe. I would love to see how that data was acquired. To answer the op, I would guess around 15 or so.

I would like to see a breakdown of cheating women who work versus those that do not work. I assume 90% of women who cheat do so with a coworker.

Or one of their English students, amirite?

But, yes, being out of the home (working) gives either sex the opportunity to cheat. Money, perceived value in the relationship, marriage/sexual satisfaction, and psychological details (narcissism and whatnot) lead to higher chances of infidelity.

Absolutely do. Internet hookups.

Housewife, paranoid husband who will not let her work = cheater.

Every married woman I ever hooked up with fit this profile. Husbands were too afraid to let princess out of the box

Edit: I'm reformed

it happens plenty,

don't feel sorry for the women who feel they need to do this. That's what happens when they marry a troll just for money and snot nose kids and a suburban

At some point in their lives nearly all people are vulnerable to temptation. I'd say about 40-50% of the women succumbed to the temptation at least once.

So out of 100 married couples you know in your circle, you think 40 to 50 of the wives have been unfaithful?

Number one, the first step is the only hard one.

All they need is to feel a lack of attention. Doesn't matter if you are working long hours to support them. Doesn't matter if you are busting your arse or putting your life on the line. They'll interpret it as not giving them the attention they crave. Or whatever it is they are lacking.

Once the fuel like that is in place it only takes a spark.

A comment on how pretty they are, or someone picking up on their frustration, just any little thing that opens the door to discussing the problems in their current relationship. From there they'll spill their guts until they say "that was too much information" or "I shouldn't have said all that." Which really translates to "give me affirmation on how I am right so I can keep going down this road."

From there the conversations will get deeper and deeper and eventually stray into flirting and mentally, they've already cheated. Might take some time to line up the physical aspect but the mental block is the one that they have to get over.

Once your woman decides to step out,

Because that's when the high kicks in. And god what a rush. The sneaking around, the clandestine phone calls, and with modern technology oh the nudes will flow like water.

She'll neglect her duties, she'll make up excuses to why she has to go here and there, she will work damn hard to cover her tracks.

They are good at it. Damn good.

And every time they swear it's the last time. Every quickie in the back of a vehicle in the parking lot behind their Zumba class. Every meeting in the park.
Always the last time. Always. "This can't happen again"

But man, like a junkie finds that needle again she'll come back again and again until she's caught dead to rights or her partner in crime has had enough.

Probably. Most people in my circles are in the late 30s to 60s.

And just the wives? So if you add in cheating husbands, how many out of those 100 marriages has an unfaithful spouse (adjusting for overlap)?

I think people that have personally experienced unfaithfulness are over estimating the percentages.
