I'm looking to retire in a couple years. Some things at work need to be automated so the people that are left won't be standing around with their thumbs up their asses not knowing what to do. Forget about trying to teach them what to do.
I had to stop myself from sending an email rant to one of the other departments about it.

We have a software package that gives us so many slots to use per year.
Our year re-starts next week.
We have about 9 unused slots from the current year's allocation.
I asked if the unused slots could rollover to next year, like how cell phone minutes used to be able to.
The four people I was talking to, all of the said, wait, you used to only have so many minutes on a cell phone plan? And you could roll them over?

Around this time of year I don't watch new horror movies. I watch 1984 Nightmare on Elm Street, 1987 Night of the Demons, 1980 Friday the 13th etc etc
