For me it's mostly Channel 4 types with a few Channel 6 guys thrown in for good measure.
News: Bill Elder at noon and 5 pm.
"Awwwwwwlright that's all for the noon broadcast."
Angela Hill and Garland Robinette at 6 and 10
In the mornings it was Channel 6 and the Breakfast Edition with Bill Stanley and Bart Darby in the 1970s
For weather: Nash Roberts(Dad always hated him) Al Duckworth and then later Dave Barnes but he would rather Bob Breck on Channel 8
Sports: Jim Henderson but before that, there was Buddy if you could understand him. Mr. Hap ( one of the greatest men I have ever known) and as an Honorable Mention.....Jimmy Steele on Channel 6 on the weekends....aside from Henderson the rest would give you the rundown of what horses did what at the Fairgrounds. I miss that for some reason.

Grew up with James Spann on local weather and never really appreciated how good he was until I moved away from home.
I just went to look and see if any of the old crew is still on with James Spann and Brenda Ladun and Pam Huff have to be near 30 years of being anchors in the Bham market. Damn. Also forgot about Rick Karle and Jeh Jeh Pruitt with the Friday Night Blitz HS football coverage. They're still doing that.

weather - James fricking Spann - put some respect on his name
outside of that I really do not watch the news and never really did - I had better things to do as a kid, and as an adult all it ever did was piss me off.
