Backdoor spider. Wears too many accessories and is too earnest to invite you into its webs

If I see a spider outside I generally leave it be unless it's a black widow (never seen any brown widows) or a brown recluse.
If a spider ends up in the house, it's immediately sentenced to death (following trial but no appeals) in critter court for trespassing.
Used to be called insect court but more spiders were being brought to justice than insects.

Yeah, I don't think Lafayette has any funnel web spiders.

Brown recluses are bad enough.

In my experience there are only 2 types of spiders.

The kind that are dead and the kind that need to be killed. That one looks like an example of the latter group.

It has a venom for which there is no known antidote in the Western Hemisphere. I advise you to stay clear of it and contact an expert at ULL.

Well that leaves us no choice...we have to burn Lafayette to the ground. It's the only way to be sure.

Trapdoor. I had one years back come out of a back log I had laid on and run up my arm. I liked to have torn the house down shaking that thing off. Put it in a jar added rubbing alcohol and it settled down.
