I have a pretty good relationship with my gay neghbor. He once said he'd give me a blower if I helped him move some furniture. I went in and helped him, and picked up the blower in the garage on my way out. He gave me the strangest look as I walked away with the electric blower. I got home and my wife said he probably meant something else.

We're cordial with everyone. We're at the front of the neighborhood so we get a lot of waves. Somehow or another this little old lady that lives in the back has my wife filling out her publishers clearing house forms. This happens 1 or two times a week and it's been going one for months.

When we lived in Texas it was nice but distant. I lived next to the same guy for 14 years and he never invited me over for dinner nor I him. Moved to Central Il and it was totally different. I love all my neighbors. We not only have dinners and outings but my neighbor next door often snow plows my driveway in Winters before I get the snowblower out. Midwest neighbors are the best. Winter sucks arse though.

I've been in a physical altercation with one neighbor and heated arguments with the other. ....I've been able to basically patch things up with the argument one. The other one....when he asked me to come talk to him....then called the cops and said I was trespassing. Cop told me the guy was a puss and just leave him alone. I've only seen him twice in the last 6 months since he dialed 911.

One is like an aunt to our boys! One is like a son to me. One helps me with a repair and I help him. I edge several of their yards when I do mine. - exercise for me, neat driveways for them, a win/win. We keep an eye on each other's houses when necessary. No issues among the 9-10 of us and the newest is about 10 years with the others 10-25 years. Friends for damn sure.
