More than you can afford, pal.

Circa-1981 BarcaLounger; belonged to my grandparents. It’s comfortable and indestructible.

I have a Lazy Boy that was refurbished and I had it covered in the tanned hides from humans beings.

That’s a lot of sittin’ on arse.

We have a pair of Eames lounge chairs w/ottomans in the den. My wife is an MCM fan and while reluctant initially about the comfort I was quickly sold. Price is a little ridiculous but they are certainly heirloom quality.

What kind of waterbed is in your trailer?

Lazy boy. I believe it is called a big boy. I am 6'2" and like the teller back. It was close to 1000 bucks. I love it.

Lazy boy, like 1300 iirc

I thought the picture was funny because we have an Eames molded plywood chair as well. A lot of the MCM furniture looks like it would be torture to sit in but every original piece I have sat in has been amazingly comfortable.

Did you get that at a hospital auction?

Thread still going strong.
Recliners are a great piece to have for naps. But to the OP, do you need a recliner if the sofa you have already has a recliner (or multiple)?

Oof. Wooden arms on a recliner? That sounds terrible.

That is a classic Morris (Stickly/Arts & Crafts) chair. The ones that use the classic proportions are actually far more comfortable than one would expect (I had the same thought as you initially). The ones from Ashley don't have quite enough drop toward the rear of the arms but still more comfortable than they look.

Barc-lounger. Paid extra for the highest grade of leather offered. 15 years old and still kicking, and for what l paid for it, the wife will let it stay in the den.
Bought it from a neighbor who owned a furniture store, and his selling line was that the company got it's start making recliners for NFL lineman. Pure bs, but I was a fan of mean Joe Green from the coca-cola ad, so l went with it.
