I’m in total agreement with you there with regards to hourly employees or employees that perform tasks that can only be done at the office/warehouse.
But if its salaried employees we’re talking about, as long as shite gets done that shouldn't matter.
I may come in 30 mins late a couple times during the week, but i sure as hell make up for it when i’m working into the evening or on a weekend. There is no additional compensation based on hours logged, so as long as work gets done nobody should care.

I really hate story time. I also hate it when someone gets sent to my office by someone that's connected to the wifi so I can help them get on the wifi. And outlook has this work offline feature. They call me and say hey my email won't work, it says work offline in the bottom right corner. I first tell them they got the wrong number, to call the IT people. But then I say just google "outlook work offline" and the answer will be staring you in the face.

Having to supervise women. Constant drama, barging into my office and wasting my time telling what another one said behind her back, half a dozen off or late days a month because junior had the sniffles or it's the 15th breakfast with mom day, and especially the few times I've had one of them break out into tears in my office over personal shite. Some are great workers, but damn is it easier dealing with guys

When our COO talks about a goal he wants to hit for the month and then people start replying and being a kiss arse. Normally about 50 people will reply. We have an office of about 1000, so those 50 can suck a dick
