Not reading all that but I don't understand the lifestyle and I have trouble identifying with people who deny nature's plans for them.
While I think that some seriously are this way because of horomonal imbalances favoring the horomones of the opposite sex, I also think that a lot become trans to rebel against their parents or to try and "fit in" to the tumblr/SJW trends because they have a hard time fitting in elsewhere.

I don't think you know what transgender is. I don't think women become men because the "look masculine" already.

I've seen a lot of drunk girls in collage make out because they were born that way.

Why do you think women become FTM trans?

For purposes of this discussion - I am exempting people with legitimate chromosomal abnormalities, dual equipment, etc.
I'm talking about the man/woman trapped in a woman/man scenarios.
These people should rightly be assessed as mentally ill. This should be treated, rather than sending them off to hormonal specialists and plastic surgeons to accomodate such a mental illness. I mean, if I woke up claiming I was a gorilla trapped in a human's body, they'd medicate me and send me to quite robust counseling sessions, among other modalities, not giving me injections, facial surgery, fur implants, etc.
Because that would be crazy.

Agreed. Until they enter the U.S. Open or a MMA match as women. That's total bullshite.

You make a good point, because there are people on Tumblr who are completely serious when they say they are a Dragon trapped in a human's body, or a wolf trapped in a human's body. It's mental illness.
I've heard someone use a broom analogy - if I claimed I was a broom trapped in a human's body, attached broom bristles to my hair and extremities, and acted like a broom - would that make me a broom?
It's hard to refute and fight biology. If you have 2 X chromosomes, you are a woman, if you have XY, you are a man, It's that simple, really. Surgeries and horomone treatments can get you close, but even the best gender transitioning regimens don't get you 100% on the same level as cis-gendered people.
Sometimes I wonder if someone who claimed they were a woman trapped in a man's body, if they would "grow out if it" if you injected them with healthy doses of testosterone as well as estrogen blockers.

Also, I don't really agree with your assessment of women who become men.
Did you know that if you penis is considered too small at birth it can basically be cut off and you are assigned to being a woman by doctors?
I watched a documentary about gender identity crisis and the basic quote that was given is "Its easier to dig a hole than build a pole."

I think society is at the point where gay people can live normal lives within the confines of their own body and engage in the community in what is now a pretty normal way.
Trans people, on the other hand, claim to be at war between their mind and physical makeup. That's not something that can be remedied with simple social acceptance, I don't believe. I do think being gay is abnormal to some degree, but it's more like any other minority trait.

I know a few transgender, both MTF and FTM.
I have utmost empathy with their plight. Can you imagine thinking that you were meant to be the opposite sex? Imagine how hard that is. Imagine how difficult every day is for them.
Other than that, I give transgender people very little thought. They are less than 1% of the population, be nice to them considering where their head must be at this moment.

I work at a CBS affiliate and its all they are talking about on the morning news shows and "The Talk", Bruce Jenner. And because of this they have us doing stories on local trans people.
I imagine its difficult for them but there has to be an underlying reason for them to have chosen this path.

I don't visit tumblr, therefore IDGAF about those freakshows.

you really think someone would choose to be rejected by society, beaten up, abused by police and the butt of jokes?
Yeah, they don't choose this. They believe they were born the wrong sex, they go through inordinate amount of pain and suffering due to this. There is no choice involved in this.
Posted on 2/12/15 at 4:56 pm to goldennugget
I don't care what other people are doing. It doesn't effect me.

I think thats a bit hyperbolic.
People are becoming more accepting of trans people these days, so more and more people are feeling brave enough to do it. Also these types of people spend a lot of time online in trans-friendly echo chamber places where they are treated well and hugboxxed. It gives them a false sense of security and acceptance because they are accepted by their internet cliques.
