Carolina Wren.
They come to my front patio every spring.

Whatever you do, don’t pour any water on it

One of my frequent visitors from last summer...

At first I thought, how the hell did a hedgehog get up there? What a neat little bird. I hope it keeps coming back to our porch.

It may be ready to nest nearby. They are extremely loud for their size, so you'll probably hear them..
This is a hungry baby from a few years ago.

Wrens are very fun to watch, make a charming whistling chirp, and are cute, harmless little birds. But they’ll nest in your hanging baskets, the glove box of your SxS, in your mower, or any other inconvenient place they can find.

Yep. A wren wants to be right on top of you, it seems. They will nest right near your door then fuss at you when you are coming and going.

Really thought it was gonna be a picture of a hairy snatch.

Be ready for a lot of bird poop.

I call them house wrens. I have to tussle with them every spring to keep them from nesting under my carport.

I feel like that on Mondays.
