It’s because you are eating it wrong. Get a bag of candy corn and dump it in a canister of salted peanuts. Then you get a bag of Heath Bars and throw the canister mixture of candy corn/peanuts away.
Candy corn is neither proper candy nor anything approaching corn.
Peanuts aren’t particularly great either. They are legumes (like beans) not even a real nut. Stolen valor.
