What is the OTs relationship with their lawyers?

Do you send them a nice card on their birthday? Or do they only hear from you when you have a DWI or the ole lady is trying to take half your stuff?

I only contact if needed. I feel like if I send a card and he takes the time to read it, I'll get billed for the hour.

My lawyer is cool but frankly he gets enough of my money as it is.
Anyone got a female lawyer ? I've often wondered if I should have gotten some crazy go for the throat type female lawyer instead. I guess I won either way but still.

As a lawyer let me say if would be great if any client ever called to just say hi, thanks for getting them millions of dollars years ago which they have spent or invested wisely, they are doing well, sorry to hear I had cancer or anything like that. In 40 years it’s rarely ever happened. That said I don’t call them either.
I have very good relationships with my current and former clients, they all have my cell number and know can call me anytime, and they are always friendly when I see them and source of most all of my other clients but that just never happens. Even people I have spent tons of time helping for no cost.
That’s just the way it is, nobody calls a lawyer unless they are in trouble or need help. We don’t expect anything else, when I see a client call I know that’s the situation.
That said I hunt and fish with many people that are former clients, usually friends first then I help them with something but sometimes the other way around. We just talk talk about legal shite. We are just tools people use
