You still looking to get out of Cali?

I would like to, but it's a little tough now. I have a brand new niece that I'm getting to spend lots of time with and that would be difficult to leave. But then again, planes come and go every day.

Well good luck with everything. At least you will be free to be the world traveler you are. From your posts it seems like you are happier out of the US.

You are right about that. I've wanted to move to Namibia since 2006. Finally going to get the chance. I have a good Croatian friend. That may be stop number 2. You only live once and I'm going to make this one count.

I'm not really an off roading junkie Red. More so I like that my Jeep can go offroad when need be for hiking trails, camping, etc. But at least it has been christened on some trails in Sedona so I'm not THAT Jeep owner(the one that never leaves paved roads).

Did you break a bottle of champagne across the bumper? I've had zero time to play these past 4 1/2 weeks off but I did some work that needed done on my rig today. Planning to go do some trails way up in the mountains in Marble on Saturday with the step-daughter and her boyfriend.

It's the redneck riviera. We won't need to buy many shots.

No but some a-hole in a parking lot has already scratched the paint on my back fender with their car door

I still have a bunch of cracks in my windshield. Wondering how long I go before calling Safelight to get the windshield replaced(that is if they have the factory glass...I want the same jeep decals on my windshield as the original one)

Honestly, pretty stress free right now. Found the right balance and don't let stuff bother me nearly as much.

And air miles compile fairly fast. Happy to hear you have a new niece in your life. You're very smart, I have no doubt you will figure out what's best for you.

I accept the blame for not warning you of that. Jeep windshields are rock magnets. You don't even want to see mine. The only good thing is, Jeep windshields are cheap.

Don't worry. Already knew from both of my husband's Jeeps. Just made sure I had good glass coverage with my insurance. I'll wait until the larger crack starts moving more towards the driver's side before I get it replaced. At first I was all about getting it replaced ASAP. Then I got used to seeing the crack and figured might as well just wait until it got really bad

Smart girl.

My entire windshield is basically cracked from one side to the other. I had a small boulder hit it one day on the passenger side and I honestly thought it was going to come into the cabin. I don't drive it enough to worry with it. At this point, it's just a paid off play toy for me.

My last time off I decided to run a mud trail about 20 miles or so up the mountain during the snow melt. I made it through a couple of snow banks and got a little too brave at the last one and got stuck so, so bad. I start to roll out my winch line and the winch quits!!!! I dug for 6 hours and wedged a couple of small fallen trees under the rear tires and got it out. I thought for sure I'd be spending the night on top the mountain in the Jeep. I at least had supplies and survival gear.

I was one happy man when I felt the wheels get traction on those trees.

I've got a windshield guy that gives you $100 if you let him fix your windshield, assuming you have glass coverage of course. Message me if you want his contact info.

Yeah and see stories like that are why you will never see me off roading like that. I would have been freaking out. There were times when I went off roading with my husband in his jeep that I jumped out and said "f this" while he went driving over rocks.

I've posted about mine before... 19 year old son that's been on dialysis since he was 1 year old. He's now been on the kidney transplant list for almost 2 years.

What it's done to his life gets to me... he hasn't grown nearly as much as he would have and he was planning on going to TA&M, banking on getting a kidney these last few years. But since it hasn't happened yet, he's headed to SLU.

Things could be alot worse though, so I quit feeling down about it and count my blessings... he's a great kid with a great outlook on life and has taught me more about true strength in a man than anything else I know of.

That's a lot for someone to go through. Especially spending your entire childhood sick.

I hope your son gets his kidney soon
