Need to get comfortable and satisfied with yourself. There is no magic formula of location, job or stuff that will change that. It comes from within and takes work.

My biggest stress right now is leaving all of the death, illness, and suffering I see every day in my medical world at work and not bringing it home. My 12 year old son is awesome and I struggle every day to not bring some of the crappy humanity I see home to him.

A month ago, I felt okay enough to move to a new state in order to forget all the bad memories. I have a lot of guilt because I couldn't go to my friends funeral. I am very lonesome because I don't know a single person within 3 states. I worry about falling every time I stand up. I worry if I pushed myself too soon. I worry if I will ever feel normal again.
Praying for you. It will get better.

After reading this thread, I realized all of my stresses and worries are superficial and selfish. Glad I opened this and read it, as I needed it.

Today at 3:30 I'm meeting my wife and son at his pediatrician to find out if what's going on with his lymph nodes is just due to him hitting puberty or is something else. I'm 99% sure it's just him hitting puberty (he's 12) but I'm not going to lie. Deep down inside I'm scared shitless. I've not even told my wife how scared I am. I've not even told anyone here why I've got to leave early today.
I posted this earlier today. Now we're home from the doctor's office and I'm happy to say my son is 100% healthy. There's still day to day stress and burdens for me to deal with but the last 24 hours have really put things in perspective.

all the travel I do makes it tough to have a "normal" life

I pretty lonely too. Dont have a girlfirend, and my only real friend doesnt live in BR. My grades are terrible and I dont have a career path.

That's great news!

That's great news! I know the feeling, and I know I have many more years ahead of me to experience it over and over.
Thanks.
I'll gladly take the normal stress of dealing with a preteen compared to what I feared we were about to go through.

I need a dog or a serious gf because I get so bored and lonely when I stay home. Work is great and super stable, money is no issue, have a couple girls I date regularly but I hate being alone so I try to go out most nights. As I mentioned earlier I have been going out less because of the heat, 3-4 times a week compared to 6-7 when the weather was nice, but I get so lonely and bored if I stay home alone even one night. I hate it!

This is somewhat true. I am happy with who I am as a person I just feel like I need to keep pushing and improving myself, mainly career wise. I like new challenges.
Cool to see a few of you are in the same position.
