Some men have difficulty understanding that the temperature on the thermostat is just a set point at where the thermostat is located and the air conditioner will constantly blow cold air at full speed until the thermostat reaches said temperature at the thermostat.
Only exception are newer systems that work in stages or have sensors that can detect if one room is warmer than another room and keep the air on longer.

It’s not about temperature - it’s about CONTROLLING the temperature settings. Feel free to run your own experiments.
