What are some items that are necessities and even some creative/different items to toss in there that you/your wife/GF would've liked when your procedure was done?

The week of Christmas, eh? Solid scheduling.
Film her when she comes to... when you are driving home/leaving.

When I had mine out, I drank a lot of milkshakes.
Not sure how you'd include something like that in a basket, but any kind of cool liquid with substance feels amazing in that situation.
No straws though!!!

Get her some straws. It helps workout the soreness in her jaws and makes sure the liquid doesn't just sit on the wounds.

Lemons to suck on. For their numbing effect and antiseptic properties, you see.

Dude... get her a card.

Serious about hoping he gets her straws? Sort of.
Would I get them for Mrs. Finch? Absolutely not.
I get blamed for everything else so I don't want to add dry sockets to the list.

She really picked a horrible time to schedule this though. Who gets their wisdom teeth out the week of Christmas??
Actually a lot of people do. Since wisdom teeth generally erupt around college-age, and most people who get them removed do so because they are having trouble with them, they schedule during one of the two major breaks - Christmas or summer. And if they've been bothering the hell out of you in Oct. or Nov., you're not waiting til the summer.
