Some parents were saying this however he is over district 6. This school is in district 7 from what I can tell. Not sure where she would send her child if she has to avoid 6 and 7. If she isnt a direct report I see no issue.

NM he is over: Walker High, Walker Freshman High, Walker Elementary, Westside Junior High, South Walker Elementary, Levi Milton Elementary, North Corbin Elementary, North Corbin Junior High

Seems like district 6 and 7 share reports.

Exactly

It’s a joke, and why she’s seemingly untouchable.

It’s not a problem if the board can recognize there are situations where there is a conflict of interest and act accordingly. Wentzel has already went on record stating he is friends with the principal so his ability to independently deal with her is automatically in question.

Seems like everyone likes to complain though but they keep voting him back in. He ran unopposed the last two elections from what I can find. He has served the longest at 16 years up for relection this year.

This isn’t uncommon in LP political circles though, but that’s a story for another day.

The entire administration of the LP school system -including the principals - is a big "good ole boys" club. Teachers are treated like crap.

Bro it’s elementary school we were mixing our peach cups with our pudding and putting it on top of our pizza to win 75 cents back then, pretty sure I would’ve eaten a PEZ looking pill off the ground

Link? Because it is fairly common from what I've seen and heard.

Have you seen and heard of a principal banning that many parents from their kid’s campus?

A few times, usually for unruly parents... Hell when I was little my grandmother was banned from the school for using a few choice words at the adminstration
Principal may be a bitch but after visiting the woman's FB she took her kids to the fair at the school, then to get haircuts, and even mentions in the comments the she didn't bring the kid to the doctor. So how do they know he ingested anything? When did they take him? 3-5 days after the incident?

From what people are saying it’s not about parents being unruly as to why they’re getting banned by this psycho female principal. This is why women have no business being in administrative roles. Seriously, banning parents from a campus for disagreeing with her? I’m sorry, I thought this was America.

They did not notify the parents. That’s pretty damn dangerous. Let’s say with 60 mg of Vyvanse. Definitely dangerous for a five-year-old. For a five year old with heart issues, potentially fatal

I’ve heard the rumors of the craziness but I also know that the school had the reputation of being an awful school before she got there. I also, similar to you have heard the stories from teachers and most have been disgruntled for whatever reason. Typically when someone is reassigned or let go and bad mouths the boss I question their motives.

So dumb. I know a lot of teachers in the parish especially DS and never has one said LP was a bad place to work. Most really like their bosses as well. Not that they don’t disagree at times but still like their work and superiors.

work in the school system, every parent says they did nothing and it was all adminstration and the teachers.... I take it with a grain of salt, there is truth to it I'm sure but I don't believe it all. That comes from personal experiences in the school system

WBRZ is a bunch of bitches who like to throw blame on the school system constantly for every litte thing that they do. They never say anything about how it could be the parents fault.
The story also doesn't say how they bus driver etc found out the kid even took the pill. So how was there supposed to be a good communication system for this? IF you don't watch the kid take it how would you know?

You might want to read up on communication law. LA is a single-party consent state, just like GA. Means that only one person in the conversation has to know it's being recorded (and that can be the recorder themself).

quote:

Louisiana recording law stipulates that it is a one-party consent state. In Louisiana, it is a criminal offense to use any device to record, obtain, use or share communications, whether they are wire, oral or electronic, without the consent of at least one person taking part in the communication.

I'm gonna guess you have no kids. Doesn't matter what you try to hammer into them, kids will do dumb shite when left to their own devices. A big reason I'm no fan of school buses. Thirty-plus kids with literally no adult supervision whatsoever (that driver does not give a shite). I saw some interesting things riding the bus as a kid and it's probably a lot worse now.

Anyway, the mom has a point. And the school absolutely screwed up on this. No question. They had no idea what he ingested. And Vyvanse, like most ADHD meds now, is a timed release drug. From the write-up, it sounds like the kid opened the pill and ate some of the pellets (as in chewed them up). Kid probably got a helluva rush, but that could have been very dangerous.

Mama looks kinda hot but also like one of them "let me talk to the manager" types.

She's an admin at a law firm in BR. So that means she's "just as smart as an attorney."
