I actually really like her but that has been a source of frustration for some because they think she is untouchable.
I've only read the article linked here so I don't know exactly who sent him back to class but I do think she might try to cover for someone else in the office lower than her.

Yea like I said I know in several parishes it is not uncommon to have family on the school board and working in the district. So not sure why this would be a big deal

I have no personal dealings with Ms Cox, the principal, but I know a lot of teachers/admin there and the vast majority can’t stand her. She has a terrible reputation with the staff at other schools too. She won’t allow teachers to sit down during instructional time and has the janitors spy on teachers to make sure they aren’t sitting down. If you are a teacher that disagrees with her or associates with teachers that she doesn’t like, you will never be promoted, given a contract or granted a transfer within the parish. If you are a parent that disagrees with her, she will ban you from school at the first hint of negative emotion. Her husband being on the school board has, in some people’s opinions, allowed her to become so unreasonable and carry on such a power trip.
This isn’t uncommon in LP political circles though, but that’s a story for another day.

It’s just typical LP nepotism and politics.
It's not just this incident - there's a history. There's countless parents that have been threatened with banishment from the campus by the principal simply for questioning why certain issues were handled the way they were.

It does seem a little sandy but nope, I’ve never been in the education field and my kids don’t go there. I meet with teachers from there every week and have family that work there. What’s your thoughts? She be witch hunt?

My son goes to this school I think he may be in same class with this kid. I have only met the Principal once. She was 20 minutes late for a scheduled meeting. Everything that comes from the office at that school is just so unorganized. Teachers are fine but the office is amateur hour. Im kinda shocked at the number of parents that have been banned from the school. Apparently this is the third time this has occured this year. I have not heard anything about it until this though.

Im most companies and government jobs its against company policy for your spouse to be your direct report. Why would this be ok in a school system?
