He’s a dictator, not a door man.

LG door in door. They have one that's 30 cubic feet with a 2nd drawer that has an adjustable temp setting.

I went with the GE Profile as it was one of the only ones that could be had without water/ice in the door and wife liked the flat top stove so we went that route for all the appliances and have had zero problems.

The damn dishwasher is silent but takes a while to run.

LG and Samsung are the worst

I think Napoleon has said anything in the Whirlpool family is what he would recommend. Cheap parts if they break

I have a stainless steel Whirlpool with french doors, a drink drawer (which rules) and a bottom freezer. Its the best fridge I've ever owned.

I get compliments on it from people that are my house all the time.

Looks like this:

Can confirm. My $1500 LG fridge has been a total piece of shite.

I have that exact same one, its a damn fine fridge but I just agreed to leave it with the home I sold.

I am now searching for a counter depth that is comparable and cannot find any that I really care.

I'm not napoleon but I would recommend looking into fridges with dual evaporator coils or even 2 separate compressors (one for fridge, one for freezer). It helps provide better temperature and humidity control for the spaces, better for produce.

I personally hate French door fridges. I haven't had any issues with mine (GE) but I much prefer the single top door designs over the French door.

I have a Frwnch Door Samsung and other than the gasket between the doors and a small spring ($5 part) breaking on the door its been a great buy. I didnt buy the model with the indoor ice machine or water. Ours has an in freezer ice machine. Less moving parts is less stuff to break.

My LG has had a ton of issues. The ice maker broke within the first 2 years, the shelves in the fridge all cracked, the rubber seal came off of the freezer. I'm ready to throw that mf'er out on the curb.

I have similar issues with my 2 year old Samsung. I want to replace it with a couple of Smeg fridges. They don’t make them like they use too. My parents have the same fridge for 20 years with zero issues.

I think that's the case with all appliances. Planned obsolescence. My grandfather has had the same fridge my entire life. I can't get 10 years out of a washing machine or dryer now.

why would you not want that? I don't have it on my current fridge but I'm looking forward to soon having it on my next. Not having to open the door for ice and water seems handy.
