That's the thing...I've been told I should have been an engineer, I do enjoy chemistry, but I don't know if I'd be happy doing that either.
I know I have a passion for writing and getting an English major wouldn't be hard at all, but I'd end up in the same boat. I don't need a major to learn or to write, and I don't see how getting even a Master's in English would give me an edge.

I know one thing for sure though, I'm a better writer than that sorry excuse for a "poet" they are using in their "act purple, live gold" or whatever stupid commercial they have now.

Rome is the dumbest poster on this board.

Considering what I've seen on this board over the years...I find that a little hard to believe.

My parents kind of pushed LSU for us. They were open to us applying elsewhere, but they didn't go out of their way to encourage it. I think they really wanted us to go to LSU.

Why just a history degree if you got into Honors College ?

I switched majors to the College of Education because at the time I thought I wanted to teach. I changed majors a few times. I screwed up by letting issues in my personal life affect my college decisions and choices.

I know a valedictorian of a NOLA catholic school who posts here who made a 33, does not have less than an A in his entire career, is a doctor, and went to LSU.

I could've gone to Rice, but they didn't give me enough scholarship money.

Haha yeah, my dad is an LSU alumnus so he wasn't too opposed to me going. He just wanted me to look around first and be really sure I wanted to go to LSU.

Yeah, my sister was valedictorian at my high school and got a 4.0 at LSU. She made a 34 on her ACT. She is a very hard worker, and I am very proud of her.

28+

Didn't read past the OP so I'm not sure if this thread has been derailed or not. But considering it's 14 pages long, I'm almost positive it has.

I was intimidated because everyone I knew who went to LSU spoke badly about the class sizes, getting lost on campus, teachers being really hard, etc. I wanted LSU at first, but people scared me so much that I stopped wanting to. I remember doing a Southeastern tour, and being a sourpuss about it because I didn't want to go there. But once people started scaring me, I decided I was going to Southeastern.

Once I got into LSU, my parents talked me into going there and I am so glad I did. I'd have hated Southeastern. I love the class sizes and all.

ETA: Didn't bother with out of state colleges. Unless I just had some massive desire to go to one, my parents weren't big on forking out money when I had a ride to LSU.

It's a typical ACT score thread. Everyone says that they have 30+ and accuse everyone else of lying.

Yep, same here. People apparently have a hard time believing something so sane.
