Yea but he's probably a gay and a weirdo, so he was destined for TAMU regardless.

What's so funny about that?

It's a typical ACT score thread. Everyone says that they have 30+ and accuse everyone else of lying.
I bet if you went through the thread and discarded the ones who provided pictorial proof of a 30+, you'd find that only a handful of people personally claimed that kind of score. Get a few people to claim a good score, and people get bent out of shape likes it's unheard of.

Is this your first OT ACT thread ?
Posted on 2/17/14 at 10:21 pm to TigahRag
Probably not, but I don't recall. What's the count of 30+ claims in this particular thread? I've seen more lower 20's than 30's posted.

If you've seen one before, it would be pretty obvious to you that this conversation is about these threads in general .. which have been abundant on here ...

If only I was at my house...the paper with my score on it is still pinned to the board in my room.

If I only got a 25, I wouldn't be quick to talk about it.

I don't think that's pathetic at all. I still have my tassel hanging on my rearview mirror.

TH has his last 2 scores on his iPhone ..

My tassel is in my glove compartment. It was hanging there for so long that it was starting to get faded...
My room is basically frozen in time from when I left for college. I'm just not home that much.

Well, if the other ones have gone like this, then I have to assume those were as overblown as this one.
Will nobody admit the likelihood that threads like this encourage those with a score worth mentioning to post it and discourage those with a low score from posting? 200 people probably read this thread, so if 10 people claimed a score that falls in the top 5%, I don't think that warrants uproar.
And yes, I am sure someone has lied in the thread. But I know at least two people who have read this without posting who scored a 30 or higher.

I have his real score. He never actually beat 18.

No, he is smart. Just different. Most smart people are.

Not like it really matters anyway. You can get a so-so ACT score and get your act together in college and get a high GPA, or (more likely) you can get a high ACT score and screw up in college and get a low GPA...
(I'm the latter.

Has to be the easiest part. The answers are literally right there in front of you.
