What if we gave everyone who survived the virus a pass back into society?

After they're done shedding, however long that is...we should give them a pass that lets them go back to work, eat, play, etc.
That way there's not some arbitrary point where everyone returns to life but we build it back up as the "curve" stays flat.
Eventually most everyone has the pass or a vaccine is developed and we can resume normal life, and maybe the economy will not be completely obliterated because we didn't keep everyone out of it the entire time.

We can't even effectively test those who may have it. How can we test those who may have gotten over it?

Um no because you can get it by touching handrails?

The problem is that some countries have reported people being reinfected because your body doesn’t build up antibodies to it after infection.

Let's make sure we print "non-transferable" on it, so they don't try any funny business.

ANTIBODY TESTING

At-home diagnostics startup Scanwell, which produces smartphone-based testing for UTIs, is working on getting at-home testing for the novel coronavirus into the hands of U.S. residents. The technology, which was developed by Chinese diagnostic technology company INNOVITA and has already been approved by China’s equivalent of the FDA and used by “millions” in China, can be taken at home in 15 minutes with the guidance of a medical professional via telehealth, and produces results in just hours.

Better yet go ahead and start infecting the young and healthy. Start building up that herds immunity.

I've seen nothing really persuasive regarding this.

You mean like an inverse Scarlet Letter?

There have been a couple cases where somebody tested positive, recovered and tested negative then tested positive again. But this may be due to test error or a lag in immune response.
Extremely unlikely a virus of this type would not produce immunity after recovery.
Now there may be different strains you could get reinfected with but you would have some level of built in immunity to those too.

I've only heard of one 80yo man being reinfected.

Game changer if this comes out relatively quickly.
