Didn't realize Mary Landrieu was on the Board of Directors... Interesting

Everyone that I know that works at CL is saying that move is inevitable. I mean most of Monroe was bracing for the news of them pulling out back in December. Even if they do keep HQ in Monroe for at least another 5-10, the damage is already being done. Most of their managers have left and the perception about Monroe is exactly what is being spit out in this thread. Monroe is a dump. Proof is real estate sucks balls there right now which is a real good indicator of the economy.

Yea, they may not "move" for a decade, but the Monroe operation will be a glorified call center.

The executives and higher paying people are already trickling out.

It's difficult to have a Fortune 500 HQ'd in a place that is unable to recruit talent from out of state.

The old guard controls the board for at least the next decade and that was part of the merger with Level 3. They cant move without the consent of the board, which ain't happening. As long as Glen Post is alive and has influence they aren't going anywhere.

But they'll threaten to all the time so they can get their way with incentives and tax breaks

I know Harvey Perry and Glen Post will do all they can to keep them there and they may in fact succeed but they have zero control really on day to day operations and CL will continue to farm the people that really drive the economy in Monroe to Denver.

They control the board, the day to day operators can't do anything outside of day to day operations without their consent, which was done purposely

Glen post got pushed out.

Somehow centurylink buys level 3 but level 3 took over internally
