I brought in her school bag (she is a teacher, it is her work bag not like a backpack) like she asked. Did not know she had a lunch bag tbh.

She should be alright. Just go to the cafeteria. Wednesday was always chicken nugget and mashed potatoes day. You also got a hot roll that you could make a potato and chicken sandwich out of.

i got blamed for something earlier this morning but since it was so small and trivial I've already forgotten what it was.

Pick your battles, girls.

It'll be a short term attitude problem from her but it'll pay dividends in the long run. She'll stop interrupting you out of fear you'll make a scene again. There are other ways to get to the same end result, but sometimes you have to blow off a little steam like that to get their attention.

I'm flying home today to immediately enter the doghouse for looking after her safety.

Haven't been told I'm to blame for anything today so far. She might be cursing me in her head as we speak though. Who knows?

You should have definitely went with...I'm sorry for interrupting you, I thought since I was still talking it was still my turn to finish my thought.

She couldn't stop yawning on her way to work. I made the mistake of asking her if she was going in to work today after she snoozed her alarm for the 6th time.

She also ended up with the unfortunate mistake of getting to work on time.

Uuuuh, can she not carry her lunch kit into the house when she gets home from work? Her fault, not yours. Tell you will be eating your lunch and won’t have time to take her a lunch. She will hate you a few days but she will make sure she brings her lunch kit in the house every day.

My MIL cannot let me finish a sentence when she asks me a question. I start to answer, gets 3-4 words out, and she starts another question or just states something and usually it’s unrelated. And, she will blurt out whatever she is thinking during a conversation, not necessarily related to the scenario at hand. I usually wait for her to finish and I continue with the sentence I started right at the point interrupted.

Her husband has hearing aids and does not use them. She has to yell 3 times to get him to say, “What?”. I think he has the right idea in that she will not ask him much. He is one quiet, keep to himself, person. He will talk to me often, and a lot, when we are alone though.

I love them both so there is that.

For brevity I'll say I'm responsible for ANYTHING that does not entertain, make happy, or cause a smile.

FIL is a wise man!

My wife's grandfather had hearing aides that he routinely turned off. He would tell us, there are just somethings you don't need to hear!
