Wouldn’t want to eat that food if you don’t. Last people I’d want to piss off is a drive thru worker say at Popeyes or McDonald’s for instance.

They’ve been trying a new tactic at the BK near my house. Still operating the two window system and the guy told my wife to wait at the first window and then after a couple of minutes told her to pull up. Her food was ready when she got to the second window. I told her they’re scamming the system but if she doesn’t want her or our kids food to have spit in it to just wait.

I don’t mind pulling up if it’s busy and I potentially ordered something that takes a minute longer.
What pisses me off is when they ask me to pull up when there isn’t anyone behind me. I never thought about the drive thru metrics being hurt by me sitting there. I just always thought they were so stupid that they couldn’t use common sense to know when to do it and when to not.

Agreed.
Logistically it makes sense to pull someone up to get quicker orders out, but pulling up to wait with no one in line is dumb.

Yeah man. That extra 10 steps is going to make a world of difference before I down that 1100 calorie shake with 60 grams of sugar.

When I'm asked to pull forward I immediately ask them to cancel my order and refund my money. Unfortunately it's becoming increasingly common. It's a good reminder to myself that I shouldn't be eating most of the food at these places anyway.

Maybe it’s because I was just in a different town or what, but I’ve heard a lot of these stories and have never actually seen it.
I worked at McDonald’s, BK, Subway and Hooter’s from 92-96. I literally never saw anyone sabotaging food or anything like that.
