I guess the days of cartoons on Saturday mornings are over.

What is this E/I broadcast on everychannel? Why are they forcing me to watch all this Educational and homo stuff?

Dude, they haven’t been a thing for at least a decade.

Public broadcast channels are required by law to dedicate a certain number of hours towards educational programming. That’s what E/I is.

Boomerang channel is where it’s at. Looney Toons, Tom and Jerry, etc. and if you’re up early enough, 3 Stooges on AMC. My kids love my generation cartoons.

Was gonna say this, classics are all on Boomerang.

It used to be for decades the cartoons were smart shows with plot lines. These days it’s just fluff to distract kids in the simplest way possible. Sad times. It’s the reason my kids will be watching older stuff, not today’s trash.

They've been gone for a long time as instant availability on the internet and multiple cable channels dedicated to cartoons have done flooded the market.

It's sad. Kids today will never know the magic of Saturday morning cartoons. Saturday mornings were like Christmas Day each week. shite, I would wait my little arse for the station to come on (tv stations would shut down from around midnight-5am), wait patiently through the farm report for old Stooges episodes and then the cartoons.
