I dont ask what thair annual incomes are but the most well off friend owns a trim carpentry company. He spent $800k on his new home before even selling his old home which sold for just under $500k. Seems like he takes off a good bit too.

My best friend from childhood on is an orthodontist in a smallish town in Alabama, and he’s the only orthodontist within a ~75mile radius. Maybe more.
I know folks who make more than him, but his quality of life-stress-income balance is off the charts.
QOL: works 3.5 days a week, and only 9-4 on the “full” days
Stress: worst case scenario if he messes something up is a kid has to have his braces on a little longer.
Income: $500-600,000 a year

Out of the ones that actually worked for a living, one of my old best buds was a commercial developer around New Orleans. He kind of retired at 35, and just owns a bunch of properties now. Has a house here, one in San Diego, one in Roatan, and one in Miami.
