Poke Sallet. We have a festival every year. If you aren't walking around smoking cigarettes covered in tats, you stand out. It's trashy but fun to people watch. This year they had a KISS cover band and Ohio Valley Rasslin!

It's cool that you think so, it's just not.

I've not been there in 25 years. I have no family there and no connection to that region of the United States. It is not my hometown.

This is a caveat that could change my position, but 9 years puts it at the cusp of being irrelevant. I see where it could go either way.

I haven't lived in the city that I was born and raised in, went to high school, grew up, etc...in 29 years....I moved away when I was 18.....I've lived outside of that city logert than I actually lived there....but it's still my hometown. I haven't lived there in 29 years.....it's still my hometown

Not sure which of the 8 towns I grew up in would be my hometown. But I've lived here 25 years.

That's why it's a subjective term. Dumbfrick08 knows this but will argue with a brick wall given the chance.

Thats like when people from Metairie, Kenner, Gretna, Slidell and Challmette go on vacation to Gulf Shores and tell people they're from New Orleans but when they come home they want to distance themselves as far from New Orleans as possible
