What ever happened with that Bayou Corne sink hole that was going to kill everyone?

Disconcerting news coming out of Louisiana tonight as a giant sink hole is about to swallow up the town of... squirrel.

It swallowed my house up and we moved to Texas. Thank God because I previously made $7.25 per hour.

CERN created a blackhole with the Large Hadron Collider. They were able to close it using the Bayou Corne sludge/mud. La. saved the universe, but, shhh, it's a secret!

Isn't the sinkhole over 37 acres now?

It’s still there. There are abandoned houses in the neighborhoods along Hwy 70. Some of those houses are pretty nice. People still use the boat launch for fishing and whatnot.

Do people fish or ride their boats around the sinkhole area or is it off limits?

I’m pretty sure it’s off limits. I’m not even sure you can reach it by water. That being said, I don’t know how tight security is. The sheriff’s department won’t keep that detail. You might see a game warden. I have no clue if the company still has people out there.

ETA: One of my closest friend’s dad built a house himself, built a pond, a walking path to his pond and all kind of improvements when the salt dome collapsed. When he received the evacuation order, he told Texas Brine to eat shite. He dumped a frick ton of money into his property and wouldn’t budge until they gave him what his property was worth before the incident. I don’t know how much he got, but he got enough to build again elsewhere.

I’m not sure how navigable it is out there. The wardens told us not to venture.

I would listen to them. If something were to happen, you would be liable.
